It *seems* that after the assistance, all the problem was resolved, and probably this is true, but a new was emerged.
When my mac was “terrible hot” it shutdown unexpectly. I have this problem under MacOSX and Kubuntu, on both OS. If I try to execute any application that is ‘CPU eating’ for a lot of time I can get only a black screen in front of me

i’ve just bought a brand new mbp core 2 duo, and i’m not having such heat problems.. is that a known issue of the previuous releases ?

Yes, if you search on google there are many people with the same problem, some was resolved by the assistance. I don’t know about a new Core2 Duo, but I hope (for Apple) that it was only a issue related to the first Intel implementation. Let me know if you have problem over time.
